I INSTALLED IT FOR THE NEW YEAR AS WHEN SEEING IT I LOVED.
NOW WE HAVE RUNG IN THE NEW YEAR I WANTED TO REMOVE IT SO.
I CAME TO MY BLOG TO DO SO AND SHE 'S DECIDED SHE DOESN'T WANT TO GO HE-HE.
IV'E SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR ANSWERS READ FORUMS AND ALSORTS OF THINGS.
STILL WHEN I TRY TO DO THEM AND CLICK SAVE THE BELL IT STILL RINGS.
IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS I CAN TELL YOU SO I THOUGHT A MESSAGE TO PUT OUT.
IV'E READ YOU CANNOT REMOVE AN ANIMATION FROM HEADERS WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT.
WHY DON'T BLOGGER TELL US THIS BEFORE WE DO THESE THINGS.
FLIPPING HECK I ALREADY HAVE TINITUS AND MY EAR ALREADY RINGS.
SO CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME IF THEY CAN I WOULD BE SO GLAD.
IF NOT I AM GOING TO DELEAT THE WHOLE BLOG WHICH I KNOW WILL MAKE ME REAL SAD.
BUT I CANNOT PUT UP WITHTHAT BELL RINGING EVERYTIME I LOOK HERE.
AT A COMMENT PLACED ON MY BLOG DO YOU SEE WE KNOW WE'VE RUNG IN THE NEW YEAR.
MOST OF YOU KNOW MY E. MAIL ADDRESS IF ANYONE COULD BE SO KIND.
TO LET ME KNOW I WOULD APPRECIATE THAT IF I COULD FIND.
AN ANSWER INSIDE AN E. MAIL ONE MORN IT WOULD MAKE MY DAY I AM SURE.
AND NEVER AGAIN WILL I INSERT A GRAPHIC IN THE HEADER BAR OH! NO MORE.
SORRY IF I SEEM A PEST TO YOU BUT I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.
I THINK YOU KNOW HOW GREATFUL I'D BE IF I GOT A MESSAGE FROM YOU.
SO FOR NOW I WILL CLOSEMY POST FRIENDS AND PLACE HERE A PICTURE OF SNOW.
WHICH FELL TODAY IN MY GARDEN AS MOST OF YOU ALL WELL KNOW.
WE HAVE HAD IT BAD IN YORKSHIRE HERES BLACKBIRD HAVING HIS BREAK.
I PUT HIM SOME COCONUT OUT TODAY IT'SHIS FAVOURITE FOR HIM TO TAKE.
WELL THEY GET HUNGRY JUST LIKE US SO I MUST LOOK AFTER THEM.

i have never put an animated up there, only the stills. i do remember someone putting up one & it took her forever to get it down. but can't remember who it was (bad memory you know), & have no ideal how she finally removed it. sorry. hope you get the answer soon. love you my dear & your lovely blog.

Of course I wouldn't know but it feels good to know old pros have trouble too.(Just kidding) I couldn't even put a new header for several days and then all of a sudden I could. It can be a strange place here sometime. I'm sure someone will know how to do it and let you know.

Hi there! I am a friend of Marie's over at Oak Cottage, she told me about your problem.
I hope I can help! You should be able to go into your your blog setttings where it says Customize.
Then once in there under Add A Gadget at the top -- right underneath there will be a box that says HTML/JavaScript and then under that there will be a box that says (the name of your blog) Header.
You want to go to the side of that box where it says (edit). Click on the edit. And another box will pop up on your screen. This box should have a picture of your graphic. Under the image there should be a little title in parenthesis that says "Remove Image".
If you click on that blue phrase your graphic should disappear. And then you can upload something new in that box.

AS YOU WILL ALL NOTICE I HAVE FOUND INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO REMOVE THE HEADER BAR ALTOGETHER,THIS SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY WAY ONE CAN REMOVE AN ANIMATED GIF DOWNLOADED FROM YOUR COMPUTER.NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TRY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RE-INSTALL THE HEADER BAR LOL!!
