"SECOND EPISODE"

WELL NOW ARN'T YOU LUCKY I'M HERE AGAIN TO TELL YOU OF EPISODE TWO.

MY BACK IS STILL SORE AND I KNOW YOU WILL GUESS MY BUTT TOO IS BLACK AND BLUE.

AFTER I WROTE MY POST ON MY FALLS I REMEMBERED TWAS TUEDAY NEXT MORN.

SO I HAD TO VENTURE IN WINTER CLOBBER AGAIN TO AVOID CRACK OF DAWN.

YOU SEE TUESDAYS MY WHEEELY COLLECTION DAY AND I HAD FORGOTTON ABOUT THIS.

AND ONE MUST BE UP BRIGHT AND EARLY FOR THEM OR YOU WILL CERTAINLY MISS.

THE COLLECTION AS THEY ARE HERE BY SIX AND I DON'T LIKE MINE OUT ALL NIGHT.

WELL HAVING THE FALL ON MONDAY I THOUGHT THAT I JUST MIGHT .

AS WELL PUT IT OUT MONDAY EVENING TIME THEN TUESDAY LIE IN FOR A CHANGE.

SO DRESSED LIKE A MOUNTAIN CLIMBER ONCE MORE WHO WAS READY FOR THE RANGE.

I TOOK TO THE DRIVE SO STEADILY PUSHING THE WHEELY BIN SLOW.

FORGETTING AS I APPROACHED THE END IT SLOAPS AND WHOOPS DID IT GO.

PULLING ME WITH IT SO FAST I WAS LEGLESS STRAIGHT DOWN THE DRIVE I WENT.

OVER THE PAVEMENT I COULDN'T STOP AND INTO THE ROAD I WAS SENT.

STILL HANGING ONTO THE WHEELY BIN THIS CONTRAPTION JUST DIDN'T WANT TO STOP.

TILL IT GOT TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD FRIENDS AND I WAS READY TO DROP.

A CAR COMING DOWN STOPPED INSTANTLY THE DRIVER ASKED ARE YOU OK.

AWWW GREAT I SAID " ALL SHUCK UP" LIKE ELVIS WELL WHAT MORE COULD I SAY..

HE ANSWERED I WAS COMING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE WHEELY BIN CAME INTO VEIW.

THEN CLOSER I GOT I COULD SEE YOU ATTATCHED TO IT THE ICE CAME TO MIND I JUST KNEW,

IT HAD PROBABLY PULLED YOU ALONG WITH IT ARE YOU SURE YOUR OK NOW KATH.

I WAS LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF AND HE DID TOO HE SAID GOOD JOB I STOPPED IN MY PATH.

THE NEIGHBOUR THEN HELPED HE REPLACED THE BIN AND WALKED ME BACK UP MY DRIVE.

TO MY BACK DOOR TO MAKE SURE I GOT THERE AS MY NERVES WERE SHAKING ALIVE.

OH SNOW!!! WILL YOU PLEASE GO AWAY NOW I THINK MOTHERHENS HAD ENOUGH.

YOU LOOK NICE ON POSTCARDS BUT I AM JUST SICK NOW OF TUMBLING AROUND I FEEL ROUGH.

IT WASN'T A CASE OF FORGET THE BIN UNTIL NEXT COLLECTION YOU SEE.

IT WAS BURSTING AT THE SEEMS FROM CHRISTMAS SO FULL JUST LIKE MOTHERHEN ME.

AFTER ALL THE STUFFING IV'E DONE THIS CHRISTMASTIME CHOCS AND ALL OF THE REST.

I COULDN'T HAVE LEFT IT ANOTHER TWO WEEKS THESE WHEELY BINS THEY ARE A PEST.

THERE FAR TOO HEAVY FOR PENSIONERS WHEN FULL AND I'M NOW GOING TO WRITE.

TO TELL THE COUNCIL THAT PENSIONERS BINS SHOULD BE PULLED OUT BY THERE MEN RIGHT.

WHEN YOU ARE OF A CERTAIN AGE THERE HEAVY AND VERY BULKY FOR ME.

I COULD HAVE GOT KNOCKED DOWN IF MY NEIGHBOUR HADN'T DRIVEN CARFULLY YOU SEE.

YOU KNOW WHAT THE YOUNG ONES ARE LIKE TODAY SPEEDING WHEREVER THEY GO.

I WOULD HAVE BEEN A GONNER FOR SURE COS MY WHEELY BIN WASN'T ON A GO SLOW.

SO NOW YOU HAVE IT MY FRIENDS AGAIN LETS HOPE THAT NEXT TIME I POST.

MY BRUISES HAVE GONE ALONG WITH THE SNOW AND I'LL BE OFF TO THE COAST.

I'M ALSO HAPPY TO SAY HAVE A LOOK AT MY HEADER ABOVE HE-HE-HE..

I HAD TO REMOVE IT ALTOGETHER THEN RE-INSTALL IT YES ME.

I'LL MAKE A TECHNICIAN ONE DAY FRIENDS IT TOOK SOME SORTING BUT NOW.

I'M A HAPPY MOTHERHEN AFTER LOTS OF READING I KNEW I'D GET THERE SOME HOW.

NEVER GIVE UP IS MY MOTTO IF AT FIRST MOTHERHEN DON'T SUCCEED.

THEN SHE TRIES AGAIN SHE'S PLENTY OF PACIENCE THAT IS ALL YOU NEED.

BEFORE I LEAVE I'M SHOWING THIS PICTURE OF ELDEST SONS GREAT SNOWMAN

YOU DON'T SEE MANY SNOWMEN ABOUT WHO ARE SUCH DEDICATED FANS. HE-HE.

SO TAKE CARE GOD BLESS AND TRY KEEP WARM UNTIL I AM BACK NEXT TIME .

HOPEFULLY FILLING MY GLASS IN THE SUNSHINE AND STILL HERE TO WRITE " SIMPLE RHYMES".

Dear Kath, I see you have solved the 'Header' problem....but regarding the Bin collection...I have a smaller Bin,always have done, but don't know if they supply them now?
Our day is also Tuesday, and Allan calls to put it out on Monday eve, I know you said you didn't want yours out all night. We also have system where 'they' will collect and put at kerbside, if you are unable to do it, by arrangement.

Hope you are not hurting too much 'bruising' I'm not so well today, but go to Hospital on the 15th..weather permitting.

It sure has been slippery. Ours was all gone and then last night we got lambasted again and it is still snowing. Very, very cold! Best to stay inside and safe!!! Glad you were able to sort out your header problem!! Stay warm, stay safe and stay upright! xxoo

Oh no not another spill! I do hope you are ok. You're fortunate you didn't break anything. I'm so afraid of falling and very cautious. I do put down the ice melt when things get slippery out. Sand or salt help too. Take care my dear friend. Glad you got all straightened around with the header and all.

Oh Kath, what a case you are. Laugh I have nearly wet myself The vision of you and the run away wheelie bin was so graphic and wonderful..I am just grateful taht the nice driver saw you safely back to the door....But seriously love do take extra care in this horrible weather. We have had our fall of snow overnight about 3/4 ins we woke to this morning. Now it is just after 6pm and it is beginning to freeze..I have just put down the salt on teh steps so Mary can get out and back in the morning safely. Peter our dear neighbout brushed all the snow away first thing this morning.
Take Care much Love Sybil xx
Come back soon to give me a laugh...muchneeded in this serious old world !!

Hi Kath...well I had not checked in your blog for a few days..and lo and behold...today I did with the intent to leave a comment cause I know you get them...and there you were..rhyming all over the place...even with the falls you make it out to be something everyday happening...I am glad the neighbor was there to help you about...do be careful...let the wheelie overflow...you are worth more than the garbage...or call and tell them to come by special as you are unable to get out...sheesh girl...cannot do without you for sure...God Bless...hugs from Ora in KY
